Nashville fans weren’t ready to let the show go when it was canceled on ABC a few years back. CMT picked it up after fans expressed they weren’t ready to say goodbye. After two seasons, countless country tunes, plane and car accidents, deaths and new careers, babies and relationships, the show is officially ending.
The show has held up after all of the drastic changes. Although, country music fans fell madly in love with the series not just because of the stories, but also for the music and the scenery. How could they not fall in love with a show that takes place at the legendary Bluebird Cafe and the Grand Ole Opry?
Nashville gave fans an inside look in Music City. The venues, bars, and scenery have been the backdrop since season 1. Many of country music’s biggest fans never get to see the city and it’s landmarks that inspire most of yesterday and today’s country music.
The show is made up of an incredible team. Hayden Panettiere and Connie Britton lead the show as Rayna James and Juliette Barns. We got to see thier characters overcome thier rivalry and stand together as two powerful women in the music industry until Rayna’s untimely death last season.
Maisy and Lennon Stella, who played Rayna James’ two young, extremely talented daughters, were two of the strongest voices throughout the series. The only positive thing about the end of Nashville it getting to see what the Stella sisters do next.
The final season of Nashville is airing on CMT beginning on Thursday, January 4th.
