Little Big Town Respond To “Gay Agenda’ Controversy Over ‘Girl Crush’ Fri, 27 Mar 2015 19:41:19 +0000 Read More]]> Radio stations are reportedly pulling Little Big Town’s new song, “Girl Crush,” because of complaints over the lyrics which are being misunderstood.

Radio station 104.3 FM in Idaho told reports that they received angry calls and emails after playing the song and have stopped playing them on their morning show.

Karen Fairchild spoke out about the issue saying the song is more about “a girl saying (to her ex), ‘Why do you love her and not me’ and not about a lesbian relationship.”

“Girl Crush” is currently No. 17 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs.

Maggie Rose Gets Engaged Wed, 25 Mar 2015 10:00:57 +0000 Read More]]> Congratulations to Maggie Rose! The “I Ain’t Your Mama” singer is engaged to her boyfriend Austin Marshall.

Austin proposed to Maggie at her show at the Bethesda Blues and Jazz Club in her hometown of Maryland. Rose was about to sing “River Road” when her bass player walked away to allow a surprise guest to take the stage. Marshall came out holding a rose, and he joined her for the song. After the song, he popped the question.

I was lucky enough to play a sold out hometown show last night in front of so many friends and family and my friend @kelseydglading caught a really special moment on video. I usually sing this duet called River Road with my bass player @Timbraisted and right after I introduced him he stepped away from the mic and to my surprise, Austin walked on stage and began singing with me…very well I might add. After the song was over he whispered something to me and got down on bended knee and asked me to marry him. I said yes, of course. I couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful moment and sharing it with everyone was such a blessing. My whole band was in on it. They made a customized set list just for me so I wouldn’t be tipped off. My sisters and parents were there ready to capture the moment and I was overwhelmed with love. Austin knows I live on stage and carefully chose a time and place that we’ll remember forever. My mom (who knew!) caught the moment as well. Wanted to share this happy moment with you. ❤️❤️❤️@a_marsh2 @stomekulous @eljasg @zaclasher
