The story follows three couples. Each video focuses on a different couple and they are all intertwined. All three shorts feature a new song by Hunter Hayes.

Part two:

Part three:

While we don’t much about Hayes’ future projects, he said we can expect a new album later this year and it is said to b the most emotional album he’s ever done.

“This was important to us to do the video and tell the story and connect it all together because it is all the same thread, part of the same story,” Hayes told the Tennessean. “It’s kind of a prelude … to the next album. But what’s coming next will be drastically different. I wanted fans to know that it was really intentional, and it was an over-arching goal. Everything had a place.”

This will be his first release since his 2015 EP, The 21 Project. Stay tuned to Thunder106 for all of the cutting edge country!

Is Kelly Clarkson Making Fun of Kelsea Ballerini? Fri, 16 Feb 2018 17:32:14 +0000 [Read More]]]> Kelly Clarkson is joining the judges’ panel on The Voice with Blake Shelton and Adam Levine. In the latest commercial for the new season of the singing competition show, it appears that Clarkson might be making fun of Kelsea Ballerini’s outfit in the music video for ‘Peter Pan’.

Clarkson wore a beautiful dress with an incredibly long train, similar to the jumper that Ballerini wore in the music video for her #1 single. Ballerini seemed almost honored that “the Queen” Clarkson, was making fun of her in a playful tweet.

Clarkson quickly replied to the tweet saying that she sees why Ballerini would think that but it wasn’t her intention!

There’s no denying that the country music community has seen some feuds over the years, but we can’t add Kelsea Ballerini and Kelly Clarkson to that list! Thunder106 Presents Kelsea Ballerini and Walker Hayes at Starland Ballroom on April 6th. We can’t wait to see you there, Thundernation!

See It Here First: ‘Diane’ by Cam Fri, 09 Feb 2018 19:16:57 +0000 [Read More]]]>

ThunderNation, ‘Diane’ by Cam is easily one of the most creative songs to come out of Nashville in years. Cam penned this song with Jeff Bhasker and Tyler Johnson as a response to Dolly Parton’s ‘Jolene’. “This is the reverse basically of Jolene. This is the other woman coming forward and saying ‘I didn’t realize he was your husband. I didn’t realize he had a wife’ and she calls up the wife and tells her the truth so she can decide what to do with her life from there,” says Cam. The video was directed by Daniel Carberry and is classic, classy and retro, just like the curly haired songstress.

“The other woman is coming forward to break the news to the wife about an affair, respecting her enough to have that hard conversation, once she realized he was married. And in true country fashion, I’ve set the whole raw story to upbeat music, so you can dance while you process it all,” Cam told Taste Of Country.

Cam has talked to her fans via Facebook Live with a series of Dear Diane. In this particular episode of Dear Diane, she says that she is “letting Diane have her moment like any brilliant woman should and then the album is coming later this year.”

The exact release date for her sophomore album hasn’t been announced yet but as long as it is as good as ‘Diane’, it is certainly going to be worth the wait! Stay tuned to Thunder106 for all of the latest cutting-edge country!

Dierks Bentley & Luke Bryan No Longer Hosting ACM Awards Fri, 09 Feb 2018 18:01:13 +0000 [Read More]]]> After two years of co-hosting the ACM Awards, Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley have been replaced. Bentley was the one that let it slip at a Q&A at CRS (Country Radio Seminar) earlier this week. “That’s over… We got fired,” he said according to Billboard. “Is that not common knowledge?”

Bentley replaced Blake Shelton as Bryan’s co-host two years ago. Bryan has also hosted in previous years alongside Shelton. There is no word on who is set to host the award show this year. Letting go two of the biggest name in country music makes you wonder who is going to replace them. Is it time for some girl power from female hosts?

Dierks Bentley isn’t letting this stop him from rising to the top this year. He has one of the most anticipated albums and tours of 2018. The Mountain is due out this summer.

He also announced a new clothing line called Desert Son. “I love clothes that are perfectly worn-in like you’ve had them a lifetime, but can also take the wear and tear that comes from an active lifestyle. I’ve learned over the last few months that there’s a real art to getting that just right. The Flag & Anthem guys have been doing it at the highest level and have helped me put together a collection that I think is totally authentic to me and one that hopefully people all over the country will dig too.” he told Taste Of Country.

Bryan also announced a new tour. The What Makes You Country XL tour is set to come to Metlife Stadium on June 2nd with Sam Hunt and Jon Pardi. Stay tuned to Thunder106 for all of the latest news from Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, and the ACM Awards.
