Jordan Davis has been ruling the airwaves with his debut single ‘Singles You Up’ and it’s just the beginning for him. He is rising on the charts although he’s admitted to The Boot he hasn’t ” looked at the charts too much.” We’ve heard from you, so we know you are loving this song. Although, it seems like there are just as many people obsessed with his beard as they are with his music!
Country music wasn’t always his ideal career. In fact, he didn’t really think about it as a possibility. “Music was around so much, it was just part of our everyday life,” says Davis. According to his website, it the Louisiana native was majoring in resource conservation at LSU in Baton Rouge and planned on pursuing a job that would help protect the physical attributes of the world.
Jordan was already working in the environmental field when his brother was living in Nashville and working as a songwriter. His brother showed off an unfinished song of Davis’ to a music executive who was impressed and encouraged Davis to move to Nashville.
Once he made the move to Nashville, he was bartending and trying to find the right writing partners. He signed a publishing deal in 2015 and in early 2016, he was signed to UMG Nashville as a recording artist. He began working with Paul DiGiovanni, a guitarist known as the guitarist for the pop-punk band Boys Like Girls, and it wasn’t long before they were writing together. “Paul would build a demo and have it done in a day, and you couldn’t listen to it enough,” Davis says.
Davis has found a unique sound and matched it with his original songwriting style in a way that is making fans and all of Music City excited to see what he’s going to do next. Stay tuned to Thunder106 for all of the latest music from Jordan Davis!
