After a day spent volunteering, Brad Paisley and his wife, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, have decided to open a free grocery store for the less fortunate in Nashville. They expect to help approximately 3000 people a year. Each participant will be helped for a year. Williams-Paisley explained is as a “temporary Band-Aid on the road to self-sufficiency.”

The customers will need to be referred by a non-profit organization or government agency to shop. The grocery store, which is simply named The Store, will be providing fresh food and non-perishables and will even have a select toys during the holiday season.

The Paisley’s have teamed up with Belmont University and Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee to get The Store up and running. Construction will begin in 2019. You can help them reach their financial goal by donating now!
