Brett Young, Lauren Alaina Win Early ACM Awards

While the ACM Awards haven’t happened yet, a few of the winners have already been announced. Our new ACM host, Reba McEntire, had the honor of calling Lauren Alaina, Brett Young, and Midland to deliver the good news.

Alaina took home New Female Vocalist Of Year.  When she answered the call, she clearly wasn’t expecting the one and only Reba to be on the other end of the line.

Brett Young has been working towards this awards since his first single, ‘Sleep Without You’, off of his debut self-titled EP. He was hanging out on his tour bus in Florida before a show when he got the call about him winning New Male Vocalist Of The Year.

Midland won ACM New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year. When they got the news, they simply didn’t believe it; that they won an ACM or that they were on the phone with Reba.

Congratulations to the winners! Tune into the ACMs on CBS on April 15th at 8pm. Stay Tuned to Thunder106 for more info on the upcoming awards show!
