Sugarland has made their way back into the country music scene and appears that they are pushing Taylor Swift to do the same. Sugarland released their latest single, ‘Babe’, featuring the country-turned-pop star.

Swift was on backup vocals and she co-wrote the song with Pat Monahan from Train. The song has been locked in her songbook since she was working on her 2012 Red album.

“I’m so happy that it gets its own life and so happy that Sugarland wanted to record it and has done such a great job on it and I’m so stoked I get to sing on it, too,” Swift told her fans on Facebook.

This is the only song on Sugarland’s new album that Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush did not write. When Swift heard the duo was reuniting, she got in touch and gifted the song to them.

Sugarland’s first album since 2010, Bigger, is due out on June 8th. They are also coming to Prudential Center in Newark on September 9th. Stay tuned to Thunder106 for all of the hottest Cutting Edge Country!
