Dave Grohl Lends ‘The Thrown’ To Old Dominion

When Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters broke his leg during a performance in Sweden, he knew he had to find a way to keep performing after a surgery and which took quite some time to heal. He had a thrown built so he can still play in style.

Old Dominion’s Matthew Ramsay had to undergo surgery on his leg in January and will still be recovering during their Make It Sweet Tour. The band reached out to Grohl and asked to borrow the legendary thrown and it is now in OD’s possession!

“It’s been used by Dave Grohl, Axl Rose, Rod Stewart and now me,” Ramsay said in the video posted to Instagram. Not only is he making the best of a bad situation, he also seemed honored to be the next artist to get to use the thrown.

“Dave Grohl made it cool to have a broken leg and still do a show,” another man said.

Old Dominion is bringing their Make It Sweet Tour to Jersey Country for the Thunder Throwdown on June 1st! Tickets are available now!
