Dustin Lynch Invited To Join Grand Ole Opry

Dustin Lynch was the one surprised to find Trace Adkins walking out onto the Grand Ole Opry stage during his last performance. Adkins was there for the sole purpose of inviting Lynch to become the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry, one of the highest honors a country musician can receive.

Artists like Lynch wait for this invitation and for many, it never comes. Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert and Eric Church are just a few of Nashville’s biggest musicians that are still waiting for the big moment.

“I have to be completely honest…I still haven’t had the moment to myself to let this sink in…because this honor comes with such gravity. It’s something I’ve always dreamed of…until I find the words, TWO words express it all. THANK YOU,” he shared on social media.

Trace Adkins has been a member since 2003. Little Jimmy Dickens had the honor of inviting Adkins and he brought out a typical kitchen stool to stand on so that he could be eye level with the country star.

Congratulations, Dustin Lynch! He will be inducted in on September 18th. Stay Tuned to Thunder106 for all of the latest news on all of your favorite country stars!
