Grammys Night Turns Golden For Kacey Musgraves & Her Album ‘Golden Hour’

Kacey Musgraves was the big winner at this year’s Grammy Awards. She was nominated for four awards and took them all home, including the most coveted award for Album Of The Year. She also won Country Album Of The Year, Best Country Solo Performance for ‘Butterflies’, and Best Country Song for ‘Space Cowboy’.

She was clearly in disbelief when they announced her album won Album Of The Year.”It was unbelievable to be in a category with such gigantic albums, really brilliant works of art. It’s really crazy, but I’m really thankful and I know that winning this doesn’t make my album any better than anybody else’s int that category,” Musgraves said while accepting her award for Album Of The Year.

Her latest album, Golden Hour, is Musgraves at her best. Each song on the album is very unique. Throughout the album, she flirts with other genres and you can hear that she put her heart and soul into every element of each song.

“Life is pretty tumultuous right now for all of us. It can feel that way. I feel like because of that art is really thriving,” she continued.

Dan + Shay took home the award for Best Country/Duo Group Performance for their single, ‘Tequila’.

Dolly Parton was named the MusiCares 2019 Person Of The Year and was honored with a mash-up of some of her hits. She performed with Kacey Musgraves, Katy Perry, Little Big Town, Maren Morris and her god-daughter, Miley Cyrus.

Willie Nelson was awarded a Grammy for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for his newest album, My Way, a tribute to Frank Sinatra
