Luke Bryan Performs On American Idol

Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Katy Perry have found their first American Idol. On the season finale, Luke Bryan performed his next single, ‘Sunrise, Sunburn, Sunset’, before bringing one of the finalists, Gabby Barrett, out to perform ‘Most People Are Good’.  “Finally, I get to sing for you guys,” he said in between songs.

Throughout the season, Barrett performed multiple Carrie Underwood songs, ‘Little Red Wagon’ by Miranda Lambert, ‘I Hope You Dance’ by Lee Ann Womack, and ‘The Climb’ by Miley Cyrus, which seemed to be her strongest performance.

Barrett, a high school senior, can’t be too disappointed by the loss, due to the incredible experiences and the bright future American Idol has given her. In addition to performing with Bryan, she also performed ‘Babe’ with Sugarland and Florida Georgia Line’s ‘Meant To Be’ with Bebe Rexha and the other the top 3 finalists, Caleb Lee Hutchinson and Maddie Poppe.

The Top 3 finalists kept it country all season with covers of Johnny Cash and Carrie Underwood. American Idol has already been signed for another season on ABC.
