Willie Nelson was forced cancel a string of shows this month due to the flu. According to Fox News, a rep for Nelson assured fans that he is “up and about and looks as healthy as ever but his doctor has determined that his voice needs more time to recuperate to give the performances you all love seeing.”
Rest easy, ThunderNation, he won’t be down for long. In fact, the 84-year-old outlaw is gearing up to star in Paradox, a new movie alongside Neil Young! Nelson’s two sons and fellow musicians, Lukas and Micah, are set to star in this musical western movie as well as Young’s backing band, the Promise Of The Real, led by Lukas.
The story follows “The Man In The Black Hat” as he hides from the law with characters called Jail Time, Particle Kid and an odd band of outlaws. The full-length film is directed by Daryl Hannah, Young’s girlfriend, and set to make it’s world premiere at SXSW next month.
There is just no slowing down the legend, Wilie Nelson. On top of his busy touring schedule, he released Willie Nelson and the Boys: Willie’s Stash Vol. 2, featuring Lukas and Micah, just last year.
