Charlie Daniels Dies At 83, Fellow Musicians React

Charlie Daniels passed away after suffering a hemorrhagic stroke at the age of 83. He had an extensive touring career for many years and won crowds over with his songs. After several years in the spotlight, he also became an advocate for veterans and service men and women.

Daniels was a proud member of the Grand Ole Opry, but he wasn’t inducted until 2008 when he was 71 years old. Not only did he have earn a spot in the hearts of country music fans all over the world, but he was also a southern rock legend.

Fans and many of Daniels’ fellow country musicians have opened up on social media about the effect the ‘Devil Went Down To Georgia’ singer had on them.

While music fans are mourning the lose, it has been uplifting to see the memories that musicians have shared with Daniels.
