Garth Brooks Turns To Facebook Live to Talk to Fans, Press About His EOTY Decision & More
Garth Brooks went on Facebook Live to spend time with fans and talk about some pretty heavy topics that 2020 has thrown at us. One of those topics fans seemed most curious about was that Brooks has taken his name out of the running for the Entertainer Of The Year award at the upcoming CMAs.
“It’s time for someone else to hold that award, know what that entertainer feels like, ’cause they’re all out there busting their butts,” he said on the Facebook Live video.
Garth Brooks has won the titled seven times and he simply believes that it is someone else’s turn to. He still plans on attending the event and hopes that his last single with Blake Shelton, ‘Dive Bars’, gets a nod at some point in the night.
Brooks seems to be excited to attend the show and simply enjoy the night with his wife. “I will be with the greatest date on the planet, and I’ll have the greatest time and laugh the whole time,” he said.
Brooks also talked about his own COVID-19 scare. He and Yearwood both tested negative, however, their daughter tested positive. While he did not see his daughter before she tested positive, he did state that he is around her husband every day.
